liquid chlorine pump

After learning the ways of TFP this year, my chemistry is on point, water looks great and dumping bleach everyday is becoming annoying LOL. I've been reading threads on stenner pumps and I think the chlorine pump is the best option for me as opposed to a SWG.

I noticed Hayward has there own liquid chlorine system that seems extremely similar to the stenner pumps. The cheapest I could find the 15 gallon Hayward pump was for roughly 400$ shipped which is a tad more expensive then the stenner system....unless anyone has a link with cheaper price?

I was looking for opinions on the Hayward system because I only found one thread on this forum.

As I'm still learning about these pumps I have some questions. Are these pumps designed to essentially run all the time unless you put them on a external timer? Am I correct to assume that you would have your external timer run during the same times that your pump runs?

I saw the detailed thread on how to calculate the amount of chlorine you need to get the correct chemistry but I'm sure there will be a lot of trial an error at first

It should work. Most on this forum favor the Stenner pump which is about $250 or $400 for tank and all. SWG is the best way to chlorinate, if you can do that.

I bought a HeatSavr pump because it has variable time settings and have been running it for over 5 year connected into the gallon jugs I get of liquid bleach. You can put the included tube into a larger container but I do not mind just changing out the jugs. Less mess.
