I am having the iaqualink i900-P with the 2.0 system installed so that I can use simple automation with my pool. I was wondering if I can also add the PDA aquapalm controller to that system as well so that I can have the option to use the waterproof aquapalm controller while in the pool vs having to risk getting my cellphone wet ( unless I have a waterproof cover) while in the pool and want to make an adjustment to the pool lights or heater? If it is possible, I assume I would need the separate Jandy antennae for the PDA in addition to the 2.0 antennae for the system. Also, is it best practice not to have an autocover connected to the automation and let it have its on key or dial pad switch? Thanks!

The IQ900 web connect device that you're getting can be used with a web browser, phone apps, PDA & Aquapalm without the need for an extra antenna. Is the Hayward OmniLogic not working out for you?
I've never dealt with auto covers, so can't help you out there. Hopefully someone will come along soon with some answers on this front.

Thanks for the information. The pool lights are working, but I was thinking of just having the aquapalm controller that is waterproof in addition to the cell phone capabilities as an alternative to have in the pool as well versus Getting a waterproof case for my phone.

If you want the PDA, I do believe you will also need the PDA antenna. My system started out as a PDA system and I converted it to iAqualink. I now have both antennas. The PDA is not Wifi I think it is 900 Mhz.
You are indeed correct, I misspoke. The iAqualink web connect can be used as the only user interface or in conjunction with all AquaLink user interfaces including: OneTouch, Touch, All Button, PDA, and AquaPalm. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for the clarification. So Poolgate, or anyone else reading this, since you are using both, PDA and cellphone, how much do you use the PDA now? I want know is it worth getting the PDA even though I have the updated RS version that uses a cell phone. I have heard that the PDA is extremely slow; however the controller is waterproof. Thanks.

I almost never use it. I might have taken it out 1 or 2 times last season just to make sure it still worked. Skip it there is no real use for it. The only reason I have it is because of a miscommunication between the builder and I.
