Pool School Black Algae missing/conflicting information

Pool School - Black Algae


Two possible issues or room for improvement:

1. Article mentions pictures of black algae but does not show any pictures.
2. Article states says that black algae "usually appears on the pool surface as isolated black spots, dark circular patterns, or blotchy black patches." Then goes on to say an exception with the same terminology, "However, there are a couple of black algae 'false-alarms' if the black spots appear as isolated dots on the pool surface."

The images show up for me. There’s 3 of them in the article. Perhaps your browser settings are stopping the automatic display of images.

As for the statement, the point is that single isolated dark dots often scare people into think its B/A when it may not be that at all. B/A does start off as spots and usually they grow bigger. So if you see an isolated black spot, that’s not necessarily B/A. Perhaps the sentences can be rewritten to clarify that more but the inline images (which you apparently are having trouble seeing) show quite clearly what those sentences are trying to communicate.

I can't see them...Windows 10 with either Either Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. No placeholders visible.

Do people really turn off images online these days? All other images show up on this PC. In either case I checked:

Chrome: Settings > Advanced > Content Settings > Images... and "show all" is the choice selected.

If I may ask, what browser are you using?

Chrome, Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit). On Chrome I don'e see broken image icons.
I've also tested on Internet Explorer, Version 11.165.17134.0. On IE I do see the broken image icons.

All of this is on Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

The other day PoolGate posted pictures of the turtle he found in his pool, and I could see them. Then people started saying they couldn’t see the pictures, so I went back and looked, and they were gone.
Maybe it’s time to start wearing my tinfoil hat.

Windows Vista and Chrome (neither of which get updates anymore) show the images just fine.
