I am working on getting my pool cleaned up. In the meantime, I need to order a ladder or stairs for my in-ground pool. The pool is 4ft deep all around without built in stairs or anything.

They threw out the ladder when they cleaned out the house before we moved in :pth:

I like the idea of steps for my parents and dog to easily get in and out of the pool.
Ladder would be easy because there are holes for it, also it is cheaper.

What do you all think? Have you had any successful installation of add on stairs?
I found these on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Confer-Ground-Swimming-Curve-System/dp/B06XT626B9/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1529344844&sr=8-5&keywords=stairs%2Bpool%2Binground&th=1
I think they might be too short at 36in

Anyone have thoughts? Or dogs that can use pool ladders lol?

I just got those that you listed. I love them they work great! Here is a pic below with them in the pool. They do need those "arms" on the back of them drilled into the deck for stability. Also due to my pool slope/depth, I needed to add a brick to each of the front legs to level the stairs.

I have the Confer model 6000. Pool Deck Ladders

It has a good feel to it. I did fill the sides with concrete just to make it sink faster and maybe feel more solid. I found mine at an online pool store for around $125 I think. I have an Australian Shepherd that loves to swim and she has learned to use the ladder for entering and exiting the pool.

I have 2 labs and have taught both of them to use the ladders to get out without any trouble. If you have a smaller dog, or an older dog, or an overweight dog, they may have problems. My 4.5 year old very athletic male has no issues. My 6.5 year old overweight female has a little more trouble.

Hi there, I'm Sambot's husband. Can you tell us how deep your pool is where you have the stairs installed? Also, we don't have anywhere to drill in the arms. We do have two metal holes inserted into the cement surrounding the pool where a ladder used to be. Do you think we could be able use those somehow?

Water depth is 40 1/2" at the wall and 42 1/2" at the bottom of the ladder to the surface of the water. Another 6-8" to the top of the coping.
