T-Joint 1.5 Inch

I just bought a new 14 x 42 ultra intex pool, and purchased a intex 2800 sand filter. I have the typical problem of 1.25 inch openings and 1.5 inch hoses. I was wondering if this theory would work:

Cut the lining and replace with 1.5 inch plunge valves to 1.5 inch hoses into this:

1 Nipple (Used with 4-way Ball Valve) - PoolSupplies.com

Screwed into this:

New Style Ball Valve (4-way valve with female threading) - PoolSupplies.com

I would obviously need three of the first adapters, but would that work?

You might find an answer (maybe even with pictures!) in Useful links for fellow Intex Pool Owners You might also see some of the threads with skimmers and hard plumbing and dedicated suction lines for vacuuming and aerators. It's worth a look.

I know I have recently seen a thread about cutting larger openings, so you could also try using the search box.

Yeah, I cut the outlet already to put in the larger fittings, but I am still stuck at the split hose side with connecting two 1.5 inch hoses into one 1.5 inch hose.

Or would I be better off going to a hardware store and trying to do this with PVC, the only part I am stuck on is the split hose valve.

I'd go browse the plumbing aisle and see what you come up with. There might be something useful for irrigation hoses, too.

So you would put a GAME adapter on each threaded opening on the valve and then connect the 1.5 inch INTEX hoses to the game adapter ..... am I missing anything?

I'm in the same boat. I've already got the conversion (B) adapters to change from 1.25" to 1.5" hoses. Now I've got two 1.5" hoses I need a "t connecter" for. Did your system as described above with links work out for you? Thanks so much!

I'm in the same place, need the 1.5 t connector!!!!
