Hi,

I have a few questions my filter started to overflow with water and started to gush out. I am not sure how to fix? Does it need to be cleaned? I took apart the filter and turned it off. I have attached photos below.

Hello, I don’t know enough about IG pool’s to help you. Someone will be along soon, but it might be helpful to list all your pool specs and equipment in your signature. You can find “edit signature” under Quick Links at the top of the page.

I have no idea either but I am not very mechanical. Sounds like a valve is not opened or something inside clogged up and did not allow water to return to pool. Is that what you are saying? Water was not returning to pool? What did your pump sound like? Was it straining?

The pic in the first link is an autofill and the white 'float' is likely stuck open.

Where did the filter "overflow" from (top, middle, etc.)?

P.S. In the future please consider hosting your pool photos on TFP directly. I rarely open links to photos, but this morning I was feeling generous. :)

Thanks for the reply. I was having trouble uploading through this site. Yes it's a 4 cartridge filter. I washed them down with a garden hose and put them back. I think the dirt might have been blocking it.

Water was coming out from where the o ring is at. It might have been too much pressure.

So far it seems to work fine after cleaning it.

Anyone knows what white piece is in the last picture? When I turn a lever water starts to flow out of it.
