PLEASE HELP! Ok, everyone. I am still trying to clear up this pool. I have been SLAMing ever since I got the PH down to 7.2 and I still don't have a clear pool with out over night chlorine loss. Here are my current test results:
FC-18
CC-1
TC-19
PH-7.2
TA-40
CH-140
CYA-27-30 (always hard for me to read)

I always try to have my FC a little higher than the CYA chart. This may be a little too high. We are just going through way too much bleach. I think I am adding 5-6 a day. We've done a lot of vacuuming and brushing. Water is very cloudy and I just feel the chlorine swing is too great and I expected my PH to read higher with my chlorine level as high as it is. I am not making much progress here. I really thought this pool would be ready to go by now. I am not sure how to correct this properly. Please help.

Looking back at the feed, I would've started the SLAM on April 28. I haven't taken pictures. It was green and gross when I started. Within 24 hours it turned blue. It was blue for quite a few days and now it's very cloudy. A few days in I couldn't see my pool brush at the bottom of the pool. I can now see it at the bottom but it is still very cloudy and difficult to see. Should my stabilizer be higher? I kept it lower thinking less bleach during the SLAM but I am just using a lot of bleach. I have cleared the racks at our local Wal-Mart. My family is getting frustrated, they want to swim. I keep telling them not yet. I am tempted to buy the flock and use it to drop particles to the bottom and vacuum to waste. I am almost 2 weeks into this thing.
 
No, your CYA is perfect for a SLAM. 2 weeks is not crazy long for a SLAM, sometimes they can go longer. The saying around here is "They didn't go green overnight and they aren't going to go clear overnight either" :) Your overnight loss + your CC says there is still stuff to kill. Sounds like there is improvement, even if it seems super slow.

Let's recheck some basics.
- Test and raise FC to the appropriate level several times a day?
- Brush every day?
- Run the pump continuously?
