My TA was 80 in February, 66 at the end of March and now 50 today....I bought baking soda to add, but what causes TA to go down like that?

Trying to figure out how to chlorinate my pool with Trichlor for 9 day vacation. I have 5 pucks in the floater and my CYA is 40 and I am having to add a gallon of bleach daily because my FC keeps dropping to 2.5. Do I just need like 5 more pucks??

Testing With the TF100 test kit.

What do you mean TA of fill water? I take my sample from where my return jet into pool is

Run a TA test from your kit on a sample of water from your water fill source (the hose, autofill, what have you). This will give you an idea of what the TA of the water you're putting into the pool is, and a better idea of the effect on your chems of adding fresh water to your pool.
