Lighting question...

We have one large color changing LED in the middle facing the back waterfall. Any thoughts if we should add any more lights? We thought about an LED Bubbler, but from what I read they fail more often than not. Possibly a GloBrite on the sunshelf? Also thought about lighting on the waterfall side.

Lights get expensive so not sure we need to spend any more $ though.

I have asked the PB for a cost estimate on the sun shelf in pool light as well as what options we have for a hand rail (maybe removable) We have older parents and that would help them out. Granted they can be viewed as an eye sore.

Thanks again!

Jeff

Jeff,

Ugly is when you don't plan on them and then add them later... :(

I believe that at least having the fittings in the ground beforehand is a great idea... :goodjob:

I find having the railing works well for me. I don't need it to drag myself in or out of the pool, but it gives me that little bit of security just in case..

Here is my ugly railing...

Updated design (final) with changes to the shelf/steps to reclaim pool space in the shallow end. We still retained a small shelves for our little dogs to be able to jump on to. This is now being drawn up with schematics to send to the Gunite company. We are still pending approval from the HOA.

Ask if you go with all glo brites will it be cheaper. They are nice and non intrusive and blend in with the pool so they are not a eye sore and light the pool well
I have 4 in my pool and I’m so glad I did that

I did ask the pool builder about glo-brites and they would cost $1000 more plus the builder said I should stay with the one large LED in the middle of my layout shining towards the waterfall. He felt three glo-brites would make the pool too bright.

We are now in Hurry Up and wait mode... At least we have the utility lines marked and the temporary line for the Cable laid down so it does not get chewed up during construction. Anything else we should be doing now while we wait for the build to begin?

shop for bathing suits! or any outdoor stuff you might think you want. May be some good prices on stuff now in the winter.
