New build: 18x40 igp rectangle 90 degree corners, in over-taxed ny

If I ever get a inground pool that is how my decking will look! WOW!

Do I see a very slight slope away from the pool? That is a great idea to help keep run off from getting into the pool.

Thanks!

And yes I did 1/4 inch drop every 6 horizontal feet to keep water running away. I did the bullnose rim around the pool water edge level, then started the mild slope with the first course of the charcoal dark border...

Beautiful! Love the monochromatic color scheme.

@jpelizza, your pool is gorgeous. We are most likely going to do the Gray Granite liner too. I loved watching the progression of your project showing how dark the water was initially, and how it eventually turned to a jewel-tone once the water became clear. Were you worried that the liner was the wrong choice (too dark) when the water was first put in and not clear yet? Did you know that if you were patient you'd achieve the rich clear blue shown in the later pics? What is the color like at dusk/evening? Can you see things on the bottom of the pool (like toys or diving rings that the children are swimming for) in this darker style pool? Thank you for any thoughts you have!

Been PM you on your post but for others I’ll answer...
Grey granite liner we love it zero regrets.., over cast day it may look a little dark but so does all other liners..., bright sun it’s exactly what color we wanted...
No border at top we also love too
Easy to see toys in bottom of pool maybe not with 15 kids in pool splashing but that’s same with all pools...
No one in pool and you can see bottom perfect
Never had any diving problems but I’m also on all the kids to be safe or they not allowed in
The slide is worth the $3400 it was , it’s the best way to get in pool for me!!!
Dusk it’s like a slate blue I suppose
Hope that helps someone...

@jpelizza love your pool. Can I please get a full picture of your pool area? How do you address the sloping on the side thats higher than the pool? What’s your pool depth slope grading like to accommodate slide / diving board? Mine is going to be 42” tall for 12’ then drop/ slope to 6’5” at deep end. At which depth you can place a slide that height? I think my kids would looove a slide like that. Do You need to ask insurance before installing the slide. My insurance already said no to diving board.
