How to switch from Enviroswim to SWG or Chlorine

Hi,

I am nearly converted.......

As a trial to stop my pH increasing I would like to try my pool possibly on liquid chlorine. I think this can be done with just turning off my Enviroswim system and adding the liquid? I think I will not have to replacing anything for the short term?

If this works, do I stay with this or convert to SWG or ....?

Will I need any other testers other than a Taylor K-2005C?

You need the Taylor K-2006C ---

You may need to add CYA if you have none. 30-50 ppm is recommended for a liquid chlorine regimen.

(I would tend to think you won't see any difference. Liquid chlorine sanitation is mostly pH neutral)

I have read the pool school stuff - awesome, which should not be a problem, but should I be aware of anything? Can anyone foresee any problems with the residual copper (0.2ppm) in my pool whilst trialling liquid chlorine? I cannot remove the water as I am just about out of tank water...... we need rain!
I should be right to follow the calculator without worry?

Having copper at 0.2ppm will have no impact to switching to liquid chlorine. Just follow the PoolMath calculations ... although realize it is up to you to set appropriate target levels.
