Pool Math........The App

Something a simple as "today is day 212 of the year" would be helpful. It would save me finding today's date then googling a Julian date calendar each time. Almost all bleach bottles use some form or variation of that type dating. I'm not sure we can provide decoding of all various systems, but that would help for the great majority, and is really easy.

Could you please fix the decimal marker on Android international phones (Samsung S7 android 6.0.1 dutch) . Now I'm not able to use a dot (.) or comma (,) for fc, cc or pH making the app useless at the moment ?
Also a request. Could we have some attention for maintenance of a spa by adding a registration field for water change?
Btw $8 no issue, TFP saves me $100+ each month.

In my signature I've got a link for a day of the year calendar. On Android and iPhone, you can save a website to your homescreen, which makes getting back to it easier

Been using the app for a couple of weeks now. Decided to upgrade so I can log my results instead of writing them down....I guess I'll eat one less hamburger from MacDonalds this year.

Good for your pool, better for your health!

Not a big deal and may have already been mentioned. When a test is entered on an ipad, it is available to view on another device (iphone) in the logs. In order to see it in the overview, you must close the app and re-open. Maybe a refresh option would fix this?

Ya know, I never noticed how quickly the log page updates now between devices. That’s quick!! The updating on the overview page has been a quark in many areas (update on time of tests as well is sluggish) and will continue to get some attention to try to correct.

I love the app!

2 questions I don't know if they've been covered.

1. Can you add track water change? I use the app for my hot tub also. For now I use the track clean filter setting, but would be convienent to keep track of hot tub refills.

2. Does the app let me know when an update is available (iOS) or does it automatically update?

1. As we’re updating other items I’m gonna look at ways we can add additional support for Spa owners. Not having one myself I’m not fully aware of the additional steps needed to maintain so I’m gonna reach out to a few owners for some support. I’ll keep water changes in mind as we go.

2. This depends on your settings in iOS. You can turn on updates by following the path below,
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Updates

This will update all your apps automatically. As a warning though, I personally find this hit or miss as I frequently check and have updates waiting. :(

As mentioned before, is it possible to solve the decimal separator issue on international android phones?

We’re still working on correcting a handful of crash issues for both iOS and Android. We expect one more update to address many of these crashes, including the comma issues, to be launched before we move onto creating new features.

I wanted to jump back a bit and give some of our users a heads up. When we started the Beta program in May we started off on a server dedicated solely for the Beta. Since we’ve went live we’ve kept the Beta server running as our launch clearly wasn’t what we had hoped for. We understood the concerns that users had about switching to the live version as clearly our stability at launch was lacking. This decision to leave the Beta server running is continuing to cost TFP despite the fact the Beta phase is now past us.

Because of this additional cost we plan on turning off the Beta server on Monday August 14th. Any data saved on the Beta server will be deleted and inaccessible. We currently have a handful of users still on this server to whom we encourage migrate your data over to the live server and enjoy future updates. Please, PLEASE backup your data (this is a good idea for all our users) and download PoolMath from the App Store rather than from TestKit TestFlight

Thank you for understanding!
Lee

^^^^^I’ve also been up since 1:00am and get to do it all over again tomorrow.

Yes, Please backup your data and download the live App from the App Store rather than TestFlight.

Can you expand on that some as I’m not following? If you’ve been using the live version only all of your data will remain untouched. Only those who were part of Beta and are currently still using the beta will be affected.

As for your data still on the live version. Like anything, it’s a good practice to preform backups. Simply click on the Menu button and select “Backup Data.” Then save a copy of your data in a location of your choice.

I had the beta. 4 days ago when I tried to open up the beta version to log my test results it would not open. At that point I downloaded the live version hoping that when I logged in that, by some miracle haha, my previous data would load in as well.

Obviously, that did not happen. Instead, the live version seems to have completely replaced the beta app and therefore I'm not able to try to open it again.
