Hello, I'm wondering what is going on with my pool. I'm getting some minimal green along the circumference of my pool. Its like dust. Not overly sticky. Walls feel clean and not slimy. 18' above ground. All I add is liquid chlorine 10.8% and I maintain 3-3.5 daily. The water is clear. I us, e a Taylor K-2006 kit. No Combined chlorine and I loose less than .5PPM of FC over night

PH 7.4
TA 110
CH 200
CYA 15 I know 15 is low but I did a drain and fill and only added enough cya to yield 15. I had a hard time testing for cya so I did it this way.

I'm wondering if its algae, or if its simply dirt settling due to lack of water flow. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Are you brushing regularly? It's an often overlooked step. I've noticed in my own pool that if we don't swim often, I need to brush more. Brushing exposes and potential algae to the chlorine. (Due to biofilm) you'll want to get your CYA to 30.you can use the same amount you used to get to 15.

I'm sure I'm not the exception. Thanks for the reply.

I did a complete drain and fill this past spring. I only added enough cya to achieve a 15 cya. I only added like 16oz of it. I agree there is no way to test down to 15. At most I'm at 15. I've never added anything to the pool besides that small quantity of cya and chlorine. Liquid chlorine. Thanks for the reply.
