If I convert from cartridge filter to Intex sand filter, do I have to have a through the wall skimmer? Or will the dual suction "B" hoses be sufficient?

Hi there... not necessarily... depends on what size filter your thinking of upgrading to... send us a pic of the filter your thinking of..and what you have already.. then we can answer you correctly.
The attachment does not work, but your current setup will work fine. This upgrade is HIGHLY recommended. The thru-wall strainer is a nice upgrade also, but definitely not required.

Ok. So upgrade to the sand filter but wait on the through wall skimmer for now??
If you want the skimmer, go ahead and do it all at once. If you would prefer to wait or save the cost of the skimmer kit for now, you can always add it at a later time.
A skimmer, over the wall or thru wall, is very nice to have just to keep the surface clear of bug, leaves, pine needles, etc.
