Bleach in the Uk?

Hi

Tried searching but having problems getting the UK part of the search phrase to register.

Does anyone from the UK have a type of bleach they use as chlorine? Where do you buy it?

I've got a Taylor 2006c pool test kit on order and am getting everything together. This is for a 1855litre hot tub (490 gallons).

Thanks
Lee

Thank you for the suggestions. I might wait until the test kit arrives and see if I can get away with just using dilochlor and trilachlor. I know they aren't spelt right haha - I'm being lazy! I'm sure you know what I mean though.

My worry with that is the CYA levels getting too high. But testing will tell me and I can adjust from there. Does that sound responsible? Or am I better off just getting CYA up there and then using bleach?

Thanks
Lee

CYA up then bleach. You're probably only talking about 100 ml per day. Even at double that, a jug will last a while.

Ok thanks. And I'm correct in thinking CYA up using the stabilized chlorine I have, and then switch to bleach, right?

thanks Dennis - I'll check that out too!

Update: just googled sodiam hypochlorite and found this link: https://swimmingpoolchemicals.co.uk/chlorine-sodium-hypochlorite-liquid-chlorine-c-474_33_450.html

It says not suitable for hot tubs. Would there be any reason for this? Maybe it could damage the internals??? Any thoughts?
