Sparkly? Yes. More sparkly? Not sure. It's not night and day crazy different, and we've had a slow to start summer without a whole lot of beautiful sunny days to compare it to. Time will tell if it buffers my ph in the swg enough to extend addition times for the metal sequestrant.

My wife said she thought it looked "bluer" yesterday. I was just talking to her about it, and we both agreed it seemed to be clearer looking after the borates. Maybe that's our interpretation of "sparkly".

Now every speck of dirt is even more visible.

Thanks! We like it. Just wish the liner wasn't faded, and the 2yo wasn't such a slob. My whole time swimming is fishing out junk he's thrown in. Yesterday my oldest daughter said "hey you're swimming". Yep, finally got it clean.

I always heard about the "terrible twos". My two girls never were a problem. The first boy got into some stuff. This one has all the rambunctiousness the others lacked rolled up into one.

78 degrees--Finally!!! Took a brief wade in, not brave enough (hot enough) to go under. Maybe tomorrow after the lawn is mowed. Thinking a Bluetooth speaker for tunes by the pool will really make vacuuming and lounging even more enjoyable.

Yesterday I vacuumed, put the cover on, and accidently put the pump to the timer mode, instead of always on. I'm near the end of a SLAM, so it set me back a little, had thought I'd be mostly clear today. Right now I'm about "public pool" clear, lol. We got in for a little bit to cool off today.

Added 30ish oz of acid to offset my bride turning on the waterfall. And swam ... a lot!

You betcha! I'm still a freshman with all of this, 1st time to ever own a pool also, but thanks to all of you fine folks, I'm learning fast.

That table is the bane of my existence. As cool of an option it might seem, the ends aren't justifying the means. It creates a catch-all for debris and sweeping thoroughly for myself and the Polaris is close to impossible. The hose to the Polaris had to be shortened also because it will wrap around the base of the table. I would personally never suggest one to someone that is doing a new build.

If you can point me in a direction I'd be glad to compile a list of "what I'd do differently after coming to TFP" including a whole diatribe on not installing pretty rocks and masonry that aren't compatible with well water, lol. (Don't get me wrong, very grateful for this pool, but having to attempt to correct 5 years of mistakes the previous pool builder/ "professional" pool cleaning guy made is taking its toll) THANKING the Lord above for this website though

Jan! You know what? You could start a thread with that title. That would be easy for people to search and find! You could even share pics to show why you would or would not do something.

We have one in the under constitution part done by a member that just finished their pool.
