Toe kicks

I have noticed that most masonry out door kitchens do not have any toe kick.

Has anyone been annoyed by not having one?

If you have one, how was it created and was it worth the effort to add one?

We put one in our kitchen. We used wood cabinetry though. But I wouldn't think it would be a real problem with masonry. It's a surprisingly noticeable absence if you do a lot of outdoor cooking.
