I need to build/hack together a waste hose for my Intext Sand Filter (SF80110-1) which does not come with one. Does anyone know what the collar size of this waste port is.

You can measure across the opening to get the size, but I think they are 1 1/2" .
So the measurement is the diameter of the opening (port)? Does Intex have a special type of thread pattern? Should any type of 1.5" collar work?

Intex is famous for switching up their products all the time, but it should work with a standard 1 1/2" collar. Some of their older stuff uses 1 1/4".
I ordered extra intex plunger valves, they will fit any fitting that the hoses will fit on, the drain port on the 6 valve way is this size. Mine always leaked there until I put the valve there, from there I used an extra pool hose to tie it into a drain line for backwashing etc.
