Is there a certain 'rule of thumb' to determine expiration of chemicals in test kits? I have the K-2006 box, purchased Summer 2010. They are kept closed and inside a cabinet in the house.
If kept in a cool/norm room temp dark area, such as under the kitchen sink, it should be able to last at least 2 seasons. Here is a link to taylor's site for signs of compromised reagents
You can also phone Taylor and they can tell you if each of
your reagents is "fresh", "usable", or whatever might be
worse than that. I call them twice a year to check mine.
