SWG and adding salt

So I know at initial setup you turn off the SWG for 24 hours but what if your salt level is getting low and you want to top it off to bring it back up. Do you still turn it off for 24 hours?

For small salt additions it is not necessary. Just add salt away from your suction and brush the area well.
