I am trying to get my newly installed Universal 40 going. After the installation, I realized that my salt level was only 1,250. I turned the SWCG off, added eight 40 lb bags of salt, and waited for about 36 hours. Now the salt level is at 3,000. Since my target is 3,500, I just added two more bags, but I am wondering if I am ok now to turn the SWCG on or if I should wait another 24-48 hours.
Can salt be added while SWCG is running?

As long as you did not dump the salt all in one spot and it get sucked in as a slug should be no issue. Best to add, brush, add, brush for small amounts.

My personal rule of thumb is adding salt over one bag (40#) and I shut the SWG off for 24 hours.
But I dump all the salt in one spot and brush until dissolved.
The pump should be left running for the entire 24 hours.
