Rx Clear HD Wide-Mouth vs Hayward SP1091WM Skimmers

Hello. Any opinions about these particular skimmers? I ended up with both, need to install just one pair.
Intex XTR 32x16, will PVC hard plumb to a separate pump.

Hello! I can't advice you on which skimmer to install, but here on TFP we have a wonderful member who gives great instructions with pictures to help you install which ever you pick.

My opinion is to use the one that you can easily find replacement parts for which would most likely be the Hayward.
Skimmer baskets do break and you don’t want to be beholden to one vendor for replacements that are needed in a pinch.
The Hayward baskets , weir doors, & gaskets are easy to come by & likely will continue to be produced far into the future.
Also other things made by third parties like skimmer plugs/winter covers are offered for that skimmer size/screw configuration as it’s quite common.

+1 to Mdragger88. Stick with the Hayward unless the other skimmer is a complete knock-off of the Hayward or you may have issues in the future finding skimmer baskets, weir doors, or lids in the future.
