New pool build in CA

We decided on Bright Cobalt Blue blend from NPT.

That's the same tile I used. It looks way better in-person than it does in the catalog! You'll love it!

A little update :

Deck grading started this week along with adding drain rock on the back side of the pool. Made that decision after seeing how much clay is on our soil. This should insure that our patio deck doesn't get ruined by the expansion of clay.

Hopefully this will be done this week so the PB can come next week to construct the waterfall. Hopefully the rain in the forecast doesn't delay us too much.

I think the wife and I are now at the point of just wanting it complete so we can have our yard back. We are really hoping to be done by Mothers Day, we will see.....

On a positive note, our glass tile came in Friday and we love it!

A little more progress yesterday before the crazy rain came back today. Got the planter box in which is 42ft long! What were we thinking? Lol.

Waterfall should finally start Monday as long as the rain stays away for long enough.....

You were thinking of all of the pretty plants you can put in there! LOL Get some grasses to put in there to help fill it up!

I was just thinking about your build this week. I am glad to see it is moving along. Hopefully the rain will stay away long enough for the job to get done!

The bad part is neither one of us are good with plants, lol! Hopefully we can find some nice ones that aren't too much maintenance and that can handle our climate, I see a trip to the local nursery in our future!

I almost can't believe it but the waterfall is almost done and the ground work is a half day away from being ready for forming and rebar! Tomorrow the waterfall will be finished and the glass tile step markers set. Concrete guy says we should be looking to pour in about two weeks with his schedule. The end is near!!

Oh man I love that waterfall! There are some really neat stones used!

What are you going to do with the other stones?

LOL on the not being good with plants------black thumb here for sure! Knock out roses seem to work good for me!

Hello all! Not much has been done since the last update as we have had rain. We are meeting with our concrete guy this afternoon to try and lock down a start day, weather permitting of course.

I was wondering where you all buy your liquid chlorine and muriatic acid from? My PB said he takes care of the start up but suggested I have on hand at first 4 gallons of both. Thanks!
