Is there a reason the shallow end is away from the main house? I am sure you thought of it. I was just curious and didn't see it in your thread.
Yes. The cabana will have a full bathroom, shower and kitchen (complete with dishwasher, fridge, pantry, etc). If you look at the foundation you can see the first plumbing stack where the island will be with the bathroom and pantry areas towards the far back of the yard. Thus there will be no need for going into the house for much of anything once you are outside and the view of looking back at the house is much better than looking at the older apartment complex behind our house. Because we have everything we need in the yard and knowing that people will spend most of their time in the shallow end giving them the better view of the pool/yard/house was why we decided on this setup. Make at least some sense?

The house is probably just there because the HOA requires it or to block the view of the road.
