Intellichlor IC40 —

Main power supply was shut off, removed power cord to salt generators power’s box, took off cell, cleaned. Returned cell to its position, reattached cord to power supply box, turned on power at the main power supply box. Since doing these things, we now have no lights on our salt cell generator.

Have tried replacing the 10amp fuse inside the salt cell generator’s power box. That didn’t change anything.

Next thing to check?

Mom,

Does your Cell's power center have a fuse the is located in a fuse holder in the box itself, or is the fuse a little plug in fuse on the circuit card?

If you have an older model with the fuse in a fuse holder, they are known to go bad.

Is the green light on the circuit card on?

Thanks,

Jim R.

The fuse is inside the box.
Welcome to TFP.

Why did you clean the cell?

How did you clean the cell?

You have a multimeter to check the Power Center output has voltage to the cell?

Pool Store advised us to clean as we had never cleaned it since it was installed in summer 2021.(pool builder didn’t give us instructions to do so) Cleaned with mixture is water and Muriatic acid. I’ll ask my husband to check the voltage. Thanks for your reply.

The green light is not on. The fuse is inside the box. Little red 10 amp fuse that slides / in/out.

Mom,

The first thing to check is if the fuse holder and fuse are actually working..

Does the voltage going to the Power Center come directly from a Circuit Breaker or does it come from a timer or something else?

Thanks,

Jim R.

There is a black cord running from rhe Power Center Box to the SCG. There’s another black cord that goes from Power Center Box into the Intelliconnect control and monitoring system box, and then a thicker/wider cord running from Power Center Box to our main electrical box that powers all equipment.
