High Alkalinity and Low PH

What is the easiest way to resolve high Alk and low PH. Seems like the most talked about is dropping both with muriatic acid and building the PH back up. If this is the easiest how do I bring up the PH without then affecting the Alk?

Our problem may be that our pool has the cover over it all but 4 hours a day. It has a safety cover because we don't have a fence and while we're gone it has to be covered. Do you think turning the returns up in this situation will work?

I did try that for 5 days with no luck, am I being impatient?

One or both of the tests are inaccurate. The pH will not stay that low with a TA of 180

Being covered can trap in carbon dioxide and keep the pH low.

Try opening for a while and brush the pool well.
