My husband accidentally bought 8 gal of lavender scented bleach. Will it screw up anything if I use it, or should I drag it back to the store for an exchange?

Exchange it. No scent - no splashless - no additives.
Or keep it for laundry use if you like the lavender scent - but that's a lot of bleached laundry...
