Best Pool Brush for Plaster Pools

Having trouble getting the stains off the sides of my pool. Pool store recommended the steel bristle brush ? Any opinions ?

Do you know what kind of stains they are? Metals or organic? Iron stains can be removed with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), while organic stains will slowly fade with adequate chlorine. I doubt any brush would be very good at getting rid of stains. I have a steel brush for my pebble pool, but I'm not sure if it would be too hard on a simple plaster finish. Hope that helps!
