Part of the problem with systems like this is that when you are running the AC and making all that waste heat, often time the pool does not need any extra heat.

When you need to add heat to the pool in the spring and fall, you are not running the AC.

So, I am not sure there is much value to these systems.

What a COOL idea!! I wish we could do this as we certainly are perfect candidates for it. In humid Georgia folks do use the A/C early in the year and yet the pool isn't as warm as we'd like. If my gas pack system were closer to the pool we'd try this in a flash!

Sounds good for Florida.
One problem is I have a Heat Pump A/C so installation would be more complex. Also A/C is about 70' from pool equipment pad.

Unless the AC unit is running constantly for hours, you won't obtain much heat.
