Rubber Coupling

Hi

Would this be ok to use on my return?? Im just wondering from a pressure standpoint.

It originally had a barb ABS Coupling that pushed into the black ABS tube in the ground ut that cracked so i hsd to find something else. It works and best of all doesnt leak. Maybe im over thinking which I have been known to do but is this ok to use rather than the ABS piece that was previously on there?

What does your pressure normally run?

I think it'll be fine, but keep an eye on it, as that black polyethylene pipe is kinda slick and you don't want the rubber coupling slipping off it.

It will work and it may work for a long time but its always going to be at elevated risk of popping off when you least want it to be. A proper barb fitting there would be best there long term.

Thanks! I'm replacing it today. I don't trust it since it's obviously the weakest link. Plus I'm thinking the UV rays from the sun will eventually dry it.
