    Newbie - Robot Question!

I have the Dolphin and love it. I haven't had to use a vacuum in years. That said you still want to brush daily as it also helps to mix your chemicals properly.

    Help with roof solar setup

My caution would be putting water elements on your roof and for that matter penetrating your roof is not the best solution. The damage a failure could cause could be catastrophic for your house. Personally O would get a heat pump.

Solar cover for 16 x 60 pool options

A cover is a must if you are using a heater otherwise you are just throwing your money away. Solar blankets do more to hold in heat gains than they do to gain heat. I would get 2 blankets and 2 reels. I don't think you need to tie them together just let them both lay on the water next to each other.

    My pump up and died

I'm looking for a replacement pump and thinking about the one below. I have 13000 gallons and a heat pump as considerations. Does this seem like the best route? Pentair SuperFlo VS Variable Speed Pool Pump, 342001

Can a pump cause heater problems?

I have a pump that I just realized is on deaths door, but that really isn't my question. I have a Pentair Ultratemp Heat Pump that is giving me a Suction Side error message. I thought it was the temp sensor so I replaced it but the problem remained. I then thought maybe it was the control board...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

I've noticed most brands of bleach here have dropped from 8.25% to 6% this year. Kroger still has 8.25% in their store brand, and it was on sale here for $2.69 a gallon this morning.

    Need a heater

I have a bonus that I want to spend and a heater would be nice. I am in coastal Georgia about an hour from Florida. Our swim season goes end April to October typically. A hurricane can mess that up and cool the water for a week. I'd like to increase the season by 3 months in the most cost...

I don't have a clue , something has to be better

I have had a polaris 280 for about 3 years, and frankly I hate it. It gets stuck on the deep end stairs. It tangles itself on it's own cord. It needs replacement parts all the time; nickle and dime torture. What is my best option? Money doesn't matter, or at least it isn't the biggest concern...

    Trouble raising FC?

I have found my pool is easier to maintain at 50 to 60 cya. It seemed as if I burned off more fc daily when I fell below 50. Typically I run through 1 to 2 ppm fc a day. My pool has been squeaky clean for 3 straight seasons using the tfp method.

    Phosphate Rise and Borates

I would be inclined to believe the tester was the reason. Being that we know how poorly most pool store testing is, why believe the phosphate numbers, and since chlorine prevents algea regardless I would only ask for metals or salt tests at the pool store.

    Pump has stopped....what now?

This is strange though that it would be a voltage all of the sudden. Nothing has changed for the last few years. I'll post pictures in a minute. Where I stand now is the pump seems to run fine by itself. I ran it for 5 hours last night without a problem. If I turn on the Polaris it runs for...

    Pump has stopped....what now?

I haven't fixed it, just turned off the Polaris and it seems to be working fine. I'm wondering if the Polaris is the issue.

Okay, so I did after I read this, and it has run problem free since. It seems to be connected to Polaris after all...

    Pump has stopped....what now?

Update if it helps- it seems to be a heat issue. If I wait for about an hour it will come on again but only for about 15 minutes before shutting down again. The Polaris keeps running even after the pump stops. Also, the pump stops even if Polaris isn't running.

    Pump has stopped....what now?

No it never did. The Polaris was running and it never even stopped.

    Pump has stopped....what now?

Hi all, I have pentair sf-n1-3/4a pump that is 2 years 5 months old. Today I noticed the pressure was 0 and the motor was hot to the touch, but not pumping or even making a sound. My question is would you replace with the same or look for something different? Also can I just change out the motor...
