    I have always run mine 24/7 but thinking about putting it on a timer to just run 8 or so hours per day.

    I really can not tell for sure. Wife says she can not see the dot at 30 but I think I can. This is the one test that I struggle with.

    My current level is at or below 30. Should just throw a couple tabs in? FC was at 2.5 yesterday and I added a whole gal of liquid chlorinator and FC is only 2.8 this morning. Temp here was in the mid 40s last night.

    Thanks guys. I think you have solved it for me. I have always ready 80-120 was in range. I guees I will do a partial drain and refill.

    All numbers are near perfect. The strange thing is when I took the cover off PH was perfect.Nobody has been in the pool yet this year,still to cool for swimmimg. PH 7.8 TA 120 FC 4.0 CYA 30

    I have had pools for around 18 years and never had this problem until the last few years. I treat and get it perfect only to have it trend high in about a week.Any suggestions?

    A friend of mine has a second home and has used the puck method for 12 years.

    I ask him and he has never drained his pool at all.

    The only issue he has ever had is when his chorinator became clogged. - - - Updated - - - I will double check to make sure he never partially drains his pool. - - - Updated - - -
