Hey guys, considering to build a pool at my mom's house in Florida. Not sure what the code is for how away from wall and sliding glass doors a pool can be? I see neighbors have pools very close to the wall and doors so not sure if grandfathered in etc? What is the allowable distance from pool...

Epoxy Putty or Injectable Urethane for sealing up screw holes in Gunite Pool?

Hey guys, when we tiled our waterline, the company drilled into my gunite to make anchors to hold up tiles while they cured. I was not there during the day and didnt see the process (sigh), I just see now all the small holes from drilling. Anyhow, maybe this is just the way its done for heavier...

Sealing stacked stones, repairing holes, homemade diamond brite?

Hi everyone! Couple questions, can someone tell me what sealer to use that wont make a wet look on stacked stones but wont cause efforescence? Reason being when the stones are wet they really darken the stones and make mine look a bit orange. What happens if no sealer is used? I guess scale and...

Coping over coping? Underwater diamond brite repair?

I understand that you can do plaster underwater but can you also do diamond brite under water? He said he himself doesnt do coping or pool deck, but he told me pool companies are now offering coping over coping options when tiling or paving over existing pavers so all would be same level.

Coping over coping? Underwater diamond brite repair?

Hi everyone, we are doing remodel and our pool leak contractor is probably also doing our pool tiles. We just found a leak at the spa and are about to fix. This sort of spurred together a remodel project. Previous owner had plaster repairs done in pool and they took terrible. They are...

Leak in Gunite Pool, Spa and Pool both losing water

Hi there! Thank you! LOL The water level was right below the pool light always, but since the seller says he fixed the pool light niche, the water level is now above that area but below the returns, however he is filling it up constantly with a hose just staying at a steady small stream so I...

Leak in Gunite Pool, Spa and Pool both losing water

Hi Guys, Im closing on a house that had a pretty bad pool, was green and overlooked for a while. The water seemed to always be right below the level of the pool light. The seller got the pool blue again, but every time I see the pool, the spa and the pool are both low in water. The seller had...

Super II Pump died, New SuperPump seems weak & sucking air Hayward

Hi guys. This is a 9.5ft deep pool if that changes anything. Here is the exact model number of the pump I had before. No matter what, water trickled out of the spa overflow unless the pool returns were shut off completely. I cannot run water curtains unless all pool returns are off. Super II...

Super II Pump died, New SuperPump seems weak & sucking air Hayward

I never thought the super II was enough flow for the spa. In spillover mode, it barely came out with super ii pump, but now seems worse with super pump. Maybe my valves are wrong. Ill look for a pic.

Super II Pump died, New SuperPump seems weak & sucking air Hayward

is 2 hp enough or is 2.5-3hp needed? I dont really get much spillover at the spa. We have 28k gallons, 10 ft deep, 3 returns in pool, 4 returns in spa, 2 water curtain features that dont run at the same time sadly.

Super II Pump died, New SuperPump seems weak & sucking air Hayward

Why a 2 speed? Does that mean that sometimes during the less speed it will move less water and during the high speed, more water? Will this affect the look of the water coming out of the spa? It barely trickles out now. :( Not sure if I can return it, bought it at pinch a penny.

Super II Pump died, New SuperPump seems weak & sucking air Hayward

Hi there, anyone know if it sounds like the thermal overload might be the issue in my broken superII pump? We already replaced capacitor. Pump runs for few seconds and then trips breaker. I guess maybe motor bearings wiring could be possible? Any way to know? What are key differences for...

Heat Pump Not heating but cold air is being created above fan? Mystery?

Oh yea, I dont know why the pic wasnt able to upload but its fixed now! We took off all panels to expose wires and see if relay or wires were burned but all looked great so I was stumped. Then, an installer tech confirmed that if the spa valve is closed when the skimmer is closed, the heater...

Such a bummer, the person I had scheduled for today cancelled on me. No error codes, its an older aquacal with hardly any usage, coils, and fins look great, never had any issue, always powers up, always heats fast. Its weird because when I got there and saw the valve turned the wrong...

Heat Pump Not heating but cold air is being created above fan? Mystery?

Hi guys my heat pump was working fine yesterday and today I believe my friend put the valve the wrong way and the heat pump may have ran dry. When I came home there was no condensation on the ground and the spa was not warming. The air above the fan blades seemed warm whereas they are always...

I need the Highest Quality Solar Blanket Cover for heat to stay

Hi guys We keep loosing heat from evaporation and it kills my power bills to run the Heat Pump so often for my kids.
