Yeah, that’s what I thought too! I was thinking of just dumping one of the bottles in the trash can and fill it up with water. But all the directions I read said to spray it on the filter. I have two bottles, so I’d like to use them.

So I could probably just use these two bottles with a spray bottle and then go back to just spraying. I sprayed with just water last summer and they seemed pretty clean.

What is common to soak a large filter to clean it? 5 gallon bucket is way too small. Is a cheap trash can good? I have Strip Kwik and am thinking if I fill a trash can of water, it may be difficult to move it when I need to dump the water and strip kwik. Suggestions?

I don’t let it over flow; if it was close to overflowing I’d definitely drain some of the water. But every time it gets above the skimmer line, it’s not really needed to drain, is it?

I can’t read the chlorine test so I use the drop test. I’m getting better at reading the Ph test and it matches up well with my local pool store.

I bought the TF-Pro and later added the salt test from Taylor.

I don’t turn my SWG until I have the proper amount of salt in my pool. I add chlorine as needed until my salt levels are correct and then I turn on the SWG.

I have the intellichor ic40 (18,500 gallon pool). Appreciate your knowledge as that makes sense on the SWG maintaining, but if I need a higher dose before a party (immediately) LC would be best.

Appreciate it! Right now I am running it mainly 24/7 just to mix the chemicals since I recently opened and am trying to get everything balanced and learn the SWG process. Last year, I would run it around 12 hours or so.

This is going to be a dumb question to most, but with a large gathering, my FC will go down since it’s having to fight everything, so afterwards, I’ll want to get it back to my normal level? Wouldn’t the SWG do that for me? Could I just up the percentage for a day?

One other question- when would I ever need to use the boost feature on my SWG?

I purchased the Tf-Pro last year and converted to SWG as well and just purchased the salt water test to add to my case. I love the layout of the directions on the k-2006c, but couldn’t find the need to purchase an entire new set and case just for the instructions.

I see the replacement set of chemicals for the tf-pro, but I don’t see the salt replacement test chemicals?

I should have said— I own the Tf-Pro and recently bought the salt tester from Taylor. I do like the instructions on the Taylor 2006c box. Like you said, I like the box of the Tf-Pro.

Just curious, why did you buy the Taylor kit over the Tf-Pro?

I was looking at the Taylor 2006c. On Amazon I see $127, but on their actual website I see $225. Is there a difference in products?

What is the better Salt Water tester? I looked on Amazon with Taylor and also on the TFTestkits and saw many different options. I already own the TFT-Pro test kit and just need to purchase the salt test. Also hoping to combine it so it's all in one test "kit".
