I didn’t know that. Thanks for the tip.

Accidentally added salt with swg on. Damage?

So you only have to turn off your swg when initially adding salt to your pool for the first time? It’s safe to leave it on for “top offs”?

Accidentally added salt with swg on. Damage?

Update: I just turned the pump off and back on, and the pentair app is now reading close to the correct reading with the added salt. I’m still unsure of what damage I could have done or if it’s not that serious to do it once

Accidentally added salt with swg on. Damage?

I was amping up my FC before adding salt to the pool, in anticipation of having to keep my swg off for 24 hours, so I had my swg at 100%. I thought I had turned my swg down to 0% before I added 80 lbs of salt, but after looking at it after about 7 hours, my swg was still at 100%. Did I ruin it...

Has anyone had a long experience with Betta 2?

I really want to purchase the Betta 2 skimmer, but an alarming number of Amazon reviews mention that they break within the first 1-4 months. A lot of people mention they are on their 2nd and 3rd machine, but they love it. $500 is a lot of money to spend on a great machine that breaks within a...

Added stabilizer in skimmer sock in front of return. Bad idea?

Everything looked ok this morning with no stains. I also tested cya and it looks like it dissolved fully because it raised from 30 to 50.

Added stabilizer in skimmer sock in front of return. Bad idea?

Sooo I’ve read about putting stabilizer in a sock in front of a return jet to help dissolve. I’ve also read that it takes hours for it to dissolve. I recently bout some Clorox stabilizer and put 4 pounds in a skimmer sock (thinking this would be the same type material as panty hose). I hung the...

    Plaster 2 different colors

We are in the second week of our pool being filled and brushing every day. I noticed that the top half of our pool is a much darker shade of blue than the bottom. I thought this was a shadow at first, but I got in the pool and looked and it’s definitely a color change. It seems to go all around...

FC/CYA chart with swg in winter?

I do plan on keeping it open and running over winter. I live in southern Louisiana, so I’m betting on it not getting too cold. so I should just maintain my cya/fc for swg even though I’m using chlorine?

    Intellichlor IC40 installation orientation question

I recently got a pool built and I’m in the stage where I’m using liquid chlorine instead of salt. I’m scheduled to start using my swg next week, so I decided to read the manual. Upon reading it, I saw that the swg is supposed to be mounted vertically. I’ve noticed the my swg is mounted...

FC/CYA chart with swg in winter?

I’ve read that since the swg stops working around 52 degrees, that you should treat the pool with liquid chlorine during the winter months. My question is, once I start using liquid chlorine, should I use the cya/fc chart as if I’m using bleach as my sanitizer? Cya requirements for salt is a...

    Refurbished (second) Ledge Lounger condition?

***update*** I received the ledge loungers today. As far as I can tell, these look brand new. I didn’t notice any scuff marks or scratches/dents at all. The box was a little tore up, and it was written all over the box “Do not accept if package is damaged”. I can only guess that whoever ordered...

    Refurbished (second) Ledge Lounger condition?

Not sure about return privilege, but their site says any purchase can be returned within 30 days. They said no warranty, but it’s never been used.

    Refurbished (second) Ledge Lounger condition?

I was looking to buy a Ledge Lounger and I noticed few of you mention that you bought second (returned) Ledge Loungers directly from the company. I called today and was able to get 2 Ledge Loungers for $400 each. I asked what kind of condition they were in and she said they were already boxed...

Are travertine pavers supposed to look like this?

Thanks for the feedback. My pavers are being laid on a concrete slab, with some (looks like) sand and mortor mix. I didn’t want to be “that guy” that nitpicks things, so it’s good to know that swapping them out at this stage is common.

Are travertine pavers supposed to look like this?

Here’s a picture of another piece of coping that looks way more aged/pitted than the rest.

Are travertine pavers supposed to look like this?

I’m currently having a pool built and I chose to go with ivory travertine for the coping as well as deck. Most of the travertine has been laid down, but something doesn’t look right to me. I’ve read about travertine deterioration and discoloring due to sun and water. I’m wondering if maybe some...
