Appreciate the suggestions. The problem with replacing something like this yearly is that if failed after 2 seasons, it can fail after a week too. I have a 17,000-gallon pool; the stakes are too high.

I used this for about 2 seasons. It is supposedly designed for above-ground pool systems. I sprang a large leak splitting wide open. Very lucky it basically happened in front of us. Can you recommend a flexible 1.5" hose that would hold under regular pump pressure?

The water is cloudy, small particles. The pool is 40 ft long and both the skimmer and the return port are at the same end.

They are not. You don't have to (you can't) bond a double-insulated pump. You do need to connect the bonding wire to the pump's GEC but that's not bonding. Regarding the other contradiction, the keyword there is "remote".

I realize this is an old thread. The bonding and the grounding systems are connected at the pump. In the case of a double-insulated pump, the code specifically requires you to connect the bonding wire to the pump grounding wire. Anyone can recommend a replacement cartridge for Aquapro filter system: Aquapro? Their OEM filter costs $200. Maybe it's just me but I find that ridiculous. It's 25" high, 7" in diameter.

I am new to this. I had my new pool just installed. The guy mounted the faceplates with no water in it, which I am realizing was a mistake. Now that the pool is full the return line inlet looks like this. Any suggestion how to fix this?
