We also used the 2x4 route for our new steps... Not very pretty, but works like a charm. I have these steps, I really like them.

I have a silly ladybug auto-vac thing, silly heifer gets stuck at the ladder. And the manual vacuuming is really therapy for me, so I don't mind it. But yes, the construction is a new housing addition, so it will be on-going for the foreseeable future. Such is life... Clean cartridge filter...

Just today, we zip-tied 2 (1-gallon) Sand-filled Jugs to the underside of our ladder. Filled them with wet sand, it’s just what we had, then sealed the lids on with e-6000 glue... it works so far! Might be a good temporary fix for ya...And it was a good way to use some of the chlorine jugs that...

Very perplexed. Day 10 of SLAM, feel very proficient at testing my FC with my TF kit and speed-stir thingy. (love that thing!) Tested water this morning after a roaring thunderstorm came through, only minimal FC loss over night, app said to only add 1 Cup 5oz Chlorine. Did and logged @ 11:30am...

Day 10 of slam! Just wanted to share some pics. Still tiniest but if stuff settling and then coming up during brush, I feel like it should be a bit more clear. One more good vacuum will hopefully take care of it...and then it’s on to the OCLT! Skimmer sock is doing great job with pollen and...
