Has anyone figured out a hack to get an intex pump to turn on remotely? When powered via a timer it does not currently auto turn on

My current pump holds the timer when power is removed and returned through an external switch. My older pump did not do this and I had to move my 4 pin data connector to the other pins on the pcb board. Works fine now.

Intex SWG--what did you upgrade to?

I have an 18' x 52" Intex round pool. Upgraded pump to a 16" sand filter and 3,000 gph pump. Used the Intex SWCG but was extremely disappointed. Switched over to Blue Works BLSC-20 for our 7,000g pool. Zero issues. This is our third year with the unit. I had to replace the cell two years...

Chlorine not changing? Test results included.

Test Results: FC 9 CC 0 Ph 7.2 TA 130 CYA 70 Salt 3900 Water is pristine. Solar cover used. I know it keeps chlorine from dropping as much but I'm trying to keep the temp up in the pool. I don't think it's the reason chlorine hasn't changed at all. I had the chlorine generator off for 4...

Looking to purchase new agp - saltwater setup.

The last three years I've had a 'summer waves' 16' x 48" pool that worked well with my intex swg and intex 16" pump. Due to rust on the top rails we are thinking about buying a resin hybrid hard wall pool. I've already drained the old pool and will be taking it away in the next week or two...

    Thru-wall Skimmer for Intex?

I use a hayward skimmer on my summer waves pool because I couldn't stand the existing 'filter'. Use the following then just put an intex shutoff valve after the adapter on the skimmer. 40mm to 1.5" adapter

Intex Automatic Pool Cleaner- stopped help

My first unit worked for two months, then one day it would only go one direction. I took apart the gears and used spray lubricant to get it to move easily. Never fixed the issue. I called Intex to set up a warranty replacement. Filled out the online paperwork and sent in a pdf of the...

Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Plugging Fast

Put the filter in recirculate mode and see if it slows down the output. Check the pre-filter on the sand pump when the output slows down. If you are getting air in the line it will burn up the filter motor. If there is no air getting in the motor/water line and recirculate works fine for hours...

Intex salt water system giving me problems

Might be a faulty gfci plug on the unit. You should get an electrician to install a gfci outlet and replace the end of the power cable. Should be very inexpensive.

    Intex ECO5110/6110 SWG - Mystery Symptom(s)

Lower your salt level to 1800-1900 when the pool is full. It will rise as the pool evaporates. I constantly had the high salt warning with my 5110 unit. Sold it and moved to a 8110 this season. I haven't received the low salt warning at all this season. It's been running for 3 months with...

Clear Water w/ Green Tint - not cloudy, no debris

I don't know the iron situation but it has always been crystal clear until the past few weeks. Ladder is showing signs if rust. Pool liner is blue.

Clear Water w/ Green Tint - not cloudy, no debris

7/9 FC 7 CC 0 PH 7.5 TA 65 CYA 70 SALT 1800 Temp 95 The swcg runs five hours a day with a solar cover at it stays at a FC level of 7-9. I've noticed some rust on our ladder and I am wondering if that is causing the green tint in the water. Not cloudy. Chlorine holding steady. No CC's. The...

    Intex Saltwater System

The Intex SWG's definitely prefer a lower level of salinity. I had a newer version of the 5110 and my salt had to be below 2800ppm to work correctly. The board in the unit will throw a high salt error when the power drops to the cell. The power drop is caused by the salt level/electrical...

Converting Copper Bars to ECO plates possible?

I was curious if anyone had access to both an ECO and Copper Bar version of an Intex SWG. My question was if the voltages were the same between the two going to the same plug. I thought about the possibility of swapping out the copper bars on a pump/swg combo I found for 50 bucks - new in box...

Purchased 09 CG-8110 Intex - New In Box

This unit puts out 1.2lbs of chlorine in 24 hours. The FC should raise by 2ppm in 1.7 hours at 5000 gallons. I don't understand how it would take 12 hours of runtime to keep my pool at the correct level. It's rated for 15,000 gallons and I'm 1/3 of that. I could get 14ppm of chlorine in 12...

Purchased 09 CG-8110 Intex - New In Box

I found a new, sealed in box unit for $145 on eBay. It was delivered today and I'm excited to see how little it will be used to keep my chlorine going in the pool. Original listing picture showed copper bars but the unit sent is before they added the copper. Puts out 24g of chlorine an hour...

Intex SWG shutting down after cleaning titanium electrode

Service light means the board is bad in the swg - the fuse is popped at minimum. If you know someone handy with soldering guns you could replace the fuse and see if it will come on again. Sounds like too much voltage got shot to the board after you cleaned it. Replace the board inside will...

Changing to salt water... can I use my same pump?

What about the possibility of running two chlorine generators at the same time? It would cut down on the run time of the pumps and allow a system that would supply plenty of chlorine easily.

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

I have mine at 2800-2900 for the ECO5110 version and it works almost consistently but throws a code 92 once every few days. I usually unplug it and plug it back in a few minutes later and it works fine. I probably need to lower my salt level down to 2500-2600 to stop the issue completely...

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

What do you test the salt with? Salt strips and pool store tests could be off. The Taylor 1766 test is the recommended one. A few things you can try: Fill the plastic housing in white vinegar and let it set for a couple of hours. Wash the unit out with a garden hose after soaking. If...

    Intex 16" Saltwater System

I only found this site that 'may' have that product. Not in the US and not likely they would even have it though. http://www.idealsources.com.au/images/spare-parts/Sand-Filter-Saltwater-Combo-Pump-CS20220.pdf I'd open the housing to the unit and remove the power cables from the board that...

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

If the cya has dissolved already from the sock and it has been a couple of days, raise it to 70. I would also add muriatic acid to lower the ph to 7.2. Poolmath for how much to add, just punch in your numbers. PoolMath Add 17oz of the 31.45% - 20 Baume muriatic acid to drop the ph to 7.2 Add...

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

You can't set a % on the Intex swcg. I'd guess since the swg was for a pool 3 times bigger you could get away with 5-6 hours a day. Maybe start it at 8 hours and dial it back. I have the 7000 version of that swg and run it 11 hours with the pump going 12 hours. Set your chlorine level with...

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

Have you tried to run the swg without using the solar heater? You will have some gph lost using it. System flow is probably around 800gph, when adding the heater it drops it too low would be my guess. The flow sensor should be keyed and fit only one way. If that doesn't work I'd look into...

    Bestway pool to Saltwater ?

anything over 700 gph should be fast enough for the swg to work - check your in and out pipes and make sure they are in the correct order. If the flow is backwards the switch will be forced off. Maybe a picture of the overall plumbing from the pool to the pump to the swg to the pool could...

    Intex ECO5110 - High Salt - Code 92 - PCB Pictures - Need Ideas

Re: Intex ECO5110 High Salt - Code 92 - Going Insane The actual cell that produces the chlorine should be the three plates. The other two plates are intex's solution to not using copper. It should work just fine without using the two plates since chlorine is being produced. I think the...

    Intex ECO5110 - High Salt - Code 92 - PCB Pictures - Need Ideas

There is no way Leslies is even close on my salinity. I did another strip when I got home and was at 3200 for salt compared to their 2600. I went ahead and drained 8-10% of the pool and my Intex SWG has been rocking solid the last 3 uses with no errors. Drop test will be delivered on Friday...

Arduino Possibilities - Intex SWG - Found some info from previous posts

User New2Me used a $35 arduino board to get their 8110 to produce chlorine with no error messages about high or low salt. I'm intrigued and was wondering if it may be a possibility if I can't get my unit to work correctly. I've already tried a new control module and new cell from intex with...
