    Crackling air multiport valve

Here is the latest. Pump lid ended up not helping with the noise. So friday evening the noise was pretty quiet, water level was low and below second screw on skimmer door. I added some water up to the screw, still mostly quiet. I vacuumed and backwashed saturday and the noise was bad...

    Crackling air multiport valve

I thought I almost had it figured out. I swapped a lid from an old pump and made sure the new gasket was seated well. Noise is definitely less, but still there. Going to really lube it and try again. Also seeing if I can track down another pump from a friend and do a complete swap. If I get...

    Crackling air multiport valve

Thanks for the replies. The sound is the video is exactly the same as what Im experiencing. Yes as pressure gets above 15 the noise starts to go away. When it hits 20, no noise. Also if I close skimmer valves and bottom drain valve about 3/4 it will quiet down but then that is hard on the...

    Crackling air multiport valve

Also all new seals in pump. The only time I've heard it stop is when pressure hits 20 which is not ideal.

    Crackling air multiport valve

Very frustrating. All new PVC plumbing, new multiport valve and the crackling noise remains. No bubbles in basket or out of the returns. Have bled air from sand filter numerous times. Have dialed back valves for two skimmers and bottom drain. It won't go away. Pool company says it's normal...

    Cleaning T-Cell-15 issue

Yes exit end. The flow control switch was connected to this end and then out to returns.

    Cleaning T-Cell-15 issue

Yep it's on the white plastic portion of where the water exits. Titanium looks good and clean when looking directly through the cell. Also why I suspect no bubbling because the plates are clean. Again just build up in white plastic where water exits so hopefully no issue. I got most of it off...

    Cleaning T-Cell-15 issue

and just want to clarify this is at the non corded end that goes to the flow control sensor. The plates at the corded end look perfect and I can look clearly through the cell until this minor buildup at the end of the plates. I just dont get why the acid didnt do anything to break it up. Maybe...

    Cleaning T-Cell-15 issue

Yes it's a hard white buildup. Plates are white also.

    Cleaning T-Cell-15 issue

Cell worked great all year. Closed the pool and saw mineral buildup on non cord end. Did the muriatic acid clean recommended by Hayward YouTube video. However the cell never bubbled and buildup remains. The cells on corded end look great and never had any build up. I let it soak no bubbles so...

    Trouble blowing out lines

I got it. Like mentioned all plumbing and drain plugs needed put back on. Compressor to pump and air started flowing. I'm now closed up. Last question do I take the skimmer doors off? Thanks!

    Trouble blowing out lines

Sure. Here is a link to the plumbing. Shared album - Phil Hess - Google Photos Where the far black plug is located goes to the returns. Close black plug goes to the skimmers. Hooking up shop vac in those two spots was not enough, I eventually did get the skimmers to blow mist. I do have...

    Trouble blowing out lines

Im wondering if I should not have disconnected my salt cell, pump drain plugs, and filter drain plugs BEFORE trying to blow out the lines? Where Im connecting the shop vac to the lines happens before the pump and filter, so it doesnt appear they are involved, but maybe could be causing not...

    Trouble blowing out lines

Hello, This past weekend I started closing my pool. I brought the water level down and disconnected my salt cell and pulled drain plugs on filter and pump. I took my 5.5hp shop vac and reversed it to blow out the skimmers first. I put a gizmo with blowout value in the 2 skimmers. Initially I...
