Multi-Port Valve to Lateral Arm Fitment Question

The pump/filter combo is an Intex SX 3000. The valve does "mount" by slipping over the pipe. just seemed a little loose and since i'm seeing some sand in my pool i was curious if this could be he cause.

Multi-Port Valve to Lateral Arm Fitment Question

Good afternoon everyone. Quick question - the pvc that fits into the multi-port valve from the laterals, how snug should that connection be? The reason being is this - when i first bought this filter/pump i thought it strange that my fitment was a little bit loose. Not long after getting the...

Intex SX 3000 - Fitment inquiry

Hoping to bump this and get someones opinion. Intex support took 5 days to get back to me and their response was generic and not helpful. Essentially support wants me to send the pump/filter back to have them ship another when all I was trying to do was ask a question about the fitment of their...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

I'm fortunate to have known that Home Depot's price was high when I was there just last week, as I also saw the local Michigan HD had it for the price you list. WHich is crazy since its 10% - same strength as the stuff at our local Meijer - except meijer is about 20$ for 4gal.

Intex SX 3000 - Fitment inquiry

I just installed my pool pump/filter - Intex SX 3000 - and as of right now I am happy with it other than 1 problem. The problem: It's spitting sand into my pool. More sand than I feel should be in the pool after an initial start-up for a new machine though I am by no means an expert as I have...

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

Oh I see! Thanks for enlightening me against my ignorance, haha.

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

I'm just more uncertain if that one in particular is worth even trying since regular SWG are so much more expensive, this seems too good to be true. A pump/filter/swg combo for barely more than a pump/filter.

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

A misunderstanding on my end - i thought the water softening systems just mixed salt into the water reducing total hardness.

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

last year I bought a xtremepowerUS 13" sand filter/pump combo. I set it up to manufacturer specs, best I could based on the limited manufacturers instructions. Had nothing but issues - sand would make its way through the filter and back into the pool - Also had a problem with gnats & gnat sized...

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

Thanks Poolgate! By the way, I see that Intex has a Sand Filter + Saltwater System for within my budget range. Any idea on if this is worthwhile or would I be wasting my money on this saltwater item? I'm thinking it might not be worth it since it seems the SWG systems are pretty pricey. Might...

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was hoping that maybe the salt would reduce the need for the other chemical requirements, but I guess reducing the water hardness isn't a total loss - especially since I can add a SWG down the road.

    Saltwater Viable/Worthwhile without a SWG?

Good morning everyone. I have been attempting to comb through the forums/interweb to find the answer I'm seeking but I just keep coming up empty handled. My question is : Can I put salt in my pool and get any benefit (other than less water hardness) without the SWG or would I be wasting...

Sand Filter - Should I return or working as intended?

100% ! My dumb test strips willl be showing all chemicals fine and high chlorine yet i'll have green algae trying to take hold on the liner! Fortunately i've had the chance to check over some of the threads located on the forum, but without the titration test kit I haven't been able to SLAM...

Sand Filter - Should I return or working as intended?

IS the skimmer sock something that should be pretty standard? I didn't realize i should have been incorporating that. Otherwise though, does it seem like my filter is working? Other than being too small? Fortunately the vendor sent me a return label, so i am tempted to send it back and upsize...
