Help! My hot tub is pouring water through an unknown broken part!

The tub is from 2013 and this part appears or be original and unmodified. Its a very complicated system with 2 pumps, 2 waterfalls, and 72 jets. Maybe they use this valve to prevent the waterfall or some of the other jets from being aerated too much?

Help! My hot tub is pouring water through an unknown broken part!

I got a used hot tub delivered about six weeks ago that was working fine before, but getting it up and running has been a nightmare with one problem after another. It keeps freezing in this crazy weather and damaging more stuff before I can get everything fixed! They really need to build these...

New House, Old Pool, Previous owner jerry-rigged everything.

That's good to hear. It's not bolted down to the stone, but heavy enough that it shouldn't move unintentionally. Thank you for the reassurance that I don't need rigid PVC pipe. But I was specifically referring to the pipe between the pump and filter. It's a different material than the rest of...

New House, Old Pool, Previous owner jerry-rigged everything.

Just moved into a new house with a large (about 35k gallons, based on my measurements) Aqua Leader AG pool, about 10 years old I think. The previous owner had all the equipment jerry-rigged, and chemicals were stored wrong. I showed the pool store guy this picture of the equipment and he flipped...

Commercial Vacuum System Options And Experiences

The water park where I work has been renovated, with a new vacuum system put in in the process. The old system had underwater plugs in the pool that you could unscrew to connect the vacuum hose, similer to what a residential pool has. But my boss didn't like that everything vacuumed up went in...

    Stock Tank Pool Plumbing

This will be interesting! I almost did this same thing, (using a stock tank) to build a hot tub, but I never went through with the plans. Keep us updated!

Working At Commercial Pool / Water Park

I am currently in college, and I always wanted a private pool or hot tub, and finally got a (cheap) portable hot tub last year. I love it and use it a few times a week! I enjoyed researching things like water chemistry, and found this forum very helpful (Thanks!). I recently got a job at a small...

    Bromine At 48.6Ppm!

Thank you! I did the drain and fill, back on track now. But I don't understand the 2 and 3 step process for bromine. I only use tabs in a floater, and non-clorine shock, which looks like the 3 step process, but with 2 steps.

    Bromine At 48.6Ppm!

I was having trouble getting the bromine to dissolve from the floater, but when I heat the tub, it disappears and the levels sky rocket! Now, my water is cloudy, and when I get out, my skin is dry, itchy, and smells like chemicals. The bromine reading from the pool store was 48.6PPM!! They...

New Spa - Lots Of Basic Questions

Well, I think I am ready for a test kit. I realized through personal experience, and reading this forum that, test strips are inheritly inaccurate, even the digital "AquaChek" ones. I see mixed reviews for pretty much everything though. I am surprised it seems there are only 2 real choices...

New Spa - Lots Of Basic Questions

    1. I will eventually, once it's reasonably balanced and I get a good test kit that I am comfortable using. I am just getting started now. 2. What's wrong with digital testers? Some have good reviews and I think they would be easier to read. 3. I did read it, but as previously stated, it is...
