    Liner repair for unground pool

We have a pool liner that is 10 years old (our second liner) and trying not to spend the$$ on yet another. The problem is that it has ripped just below where the clip is and has a gaping hole about 8" horizontally. There was exactly the same problem with the first liner, so evidently its a...

    Opening pool, testing TA

Thanks again.....all my chems are new from end of summer 2019 so they should be fine. For the winter, kept chlorine at minimum and circulating 8 hours a day. Do not have soda ash, but just bought more baking soda, no way to aerate. It was low last year when opening too but not like this, it...

    Opening pool, testing TA

Hi again, I have added 12 lbs of baking soda in the last 6 hours and I am still not getting any reading for TA. Test results are still red after adding 007 and 008, never goes to green after adding 008. Should't I be getting at least some reading after adding 12 lbs of baking soda? The pool...

    Opening pool, testing TA

Hi all, Before I start my slam, I am testing my pH and TA. pH tested below 6.5 so I need to raise obviously. TA test is confusing....I added two drops of R0007, 5 drops of R0008 and its supped to turn green, it never did, it started red and stayed red....adding drops of R0009 obviously no...

    Hurricane prep

We have a cat 1 hurricane due to hit us tonight. We are out of town but my dog sitter can go do this for us. Predicting 8-12 inches of rain. We have a liner unground pool. I feel draining it down at least 1 to 1-1/2 feet as a preventive measure would be best. Will this do damage to the liner...

    Mustard Algae

Re: Mustard Algae questions I suspected as much that it is the light area it's coming from. So we will hold off slamming and wasting bleach until this is fixed...thanks for your input!!!

    Still getting sand.....

Thanks, I know we put in the correct sand #, but not the brand, bags have been thrown out and I don't remember. I am rinsing for over a minute, should it be longer? We replaced the entire lateral including the standpipe, it came as a complete unit. We did not put water in the filter...

    Still getting sand.....

We replaced our broken laterals, have new sand in the filter and installed a new pump and various lines that were cracked and leaking, about a month ago. We had been getting sand in the pool for several years, it got really bad so that's when we looked into the filter and discovered the broken...
