Hi all,

I went from little to no chlorine in a week. Does this mean I am not running the SWG enough? The instruction guide says 4 hours a day for a pool my size. I did just add 2c liquid bleach, per the app.

Also, do I need to worry about my TA? I got it down from 190 to 150.

Thank you!!

I suspect you need to follow the SLAM Process.

Your 4 hours of run time for that SWCG would create just over 3 ppm FC per day. Probably on the low side.

This really perplexed me! I just filled the pool up a week ago. I’ve only added exactly what the app said to...stabilizer, MA, salt, and liquid chlorine. Surely I couldn’t have messed things up so badly that I need to drain the pool! The water is beautiful despite the chlorine level being nonexistent.

Have you checked if the SWG is making chlorine? While the pump and SWG are running collect a sample of water from the return and test the chlorine level. You may need to adjust the output on the SWG and use liquid chlorine until it is producing enough chlorine to maintain your FC level.

I will try that!!

Ok so I tested the chlorine coming out of the return and was 7.2. That could be because I had added liquid chlorine earlier. I’ll che k tomorrow morning and compare. Thank you!
