Worms in my Pool. Please help.

Hi I had mild algae in the pool. I just finished SLAMing the pool last weekend. I think this is independent, but now I have multiple (mostly black, some white) medium size worms in the pool. Picture attached. They are ~2 inches long. I removed all the ones I could see today. I saw 1 or 2 last week and this week after SLAMing they seem to be multiplying at an alarming rate.

Any idea what these are and what I can do to kill them? Thanks.

those look like tobby worms to me but not sure. Do you have trees close to your pool? Could they be falling from the trees into the pool?

No trees nearby. I rarely get any leaves in the pool.

Cleaned the pool last night of all worms and 8 more present this AM. I have no idea where they are coming from. My pump and cleaner run in the night, any chance it coming from anywhere in the pipes?

yeah a few were present prior. by how they are showing up, I am amazed the survived cl level of 32. (that was the max I had during SLAM)

Do you live near any plant stores/nursery, college, garden stores, tractor supply stores, ag stores, feed stores, or pest control retail locations?

If so, perhaps capture a live one and bring around until you get a free ID and treatment suggestions! I've heard this work for others with different little cuties. Report back please! If we can get an ID, we can also internet research it!
