Winterizing Waterfalls on the Main Pump w/ Automation

First post, so be gentle. Lol. I searched in vain and couldn’t find info specific to my issue so I’m hoping y’all can help!

Our pool has waterfalls tied into the main pump with a single valve that switches from the falls to the returns. There’s a valve actuator connected to our OmniLogic system that allows me to control this feature remotely. (Side note; the cams in the actuator are set to send approx 75% of the water to the falls when they’re on, while the remaining runs through the jets so they still move some water in the shallow end.)

All that to ask; what is the most efficient process to winterize the waterfall? Will I need to simply unplug the actuator, close the valve completely to the falls after blowing out the lines, and let freeze protect run the returns or am I missing something obvious.

Sorry…first time pool owner and this weather is causing a significant buildup of ice on the falls. Never ever considered the fact I could winterize the water feature alone.

Thanks for any help and Merry Christmas!

Lol, I know. It looks super cool! They’re just starting to creep closer to the waterfall plumbing as they grow. These were last night. They’ve grown much larger today.
