It's my second year closing and I'm trying to plan since I'll be closing in the next week or so. Last year there was some winter shock left behind by the previous owners so I threw it in and now I'm trying to figure out if I should again. What is winter shock for and should I put some in while closing for the season.
Also, do I need to do anything special aside from make sure the chemistry is good overall and add some extra chlorine before putting the cover on? Last year I kind of winged it and it worked out well but I would like to be a little more methodical this year.
