I'm going to be gone for 6 days and I'm not sure what to do about my pH numbers. My pool is still in its first year and the pH wants to rise constantly - about .2 every two or three days. I try to keep it between 7.6 and 7.8. Not sure what to do when I'm gone, though. I really don't have anyone to look after it.
The chlorine won't be a problem. After a reverse osmosis treatment, my CYA is at 40 so I will just put 3 trichlor tabs in the indeck chlorinator along with a pretty good dose of liquid chlorine before I leave (and alkalinity hasn't changed from 70 for the last month).
It's the pH that I'm not sure about. Do I just bring it down to 7.4, or something, and gradually just let it rise while I'm gone? Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch

The trichlor tabs are highly acidic,
in my 13k gallon pool one tablet will lower my pH approx .2, I'd imagine your result would be similar. Given that, I would just go with your current plan and be prepared to test and balance upon your return
