Hello Everyone,

I have a fiberglass pool that I haven't used in a couple of years. I drained the pool down a couple of timed to expedite the cleaning. when I rubbed my hand along the pool walls my glove was covered with this white slime. Anyone know what it might be? Thanks

Perhaps a type of algae or mold? I hope it's not the gelcoat showing signs of deteriorating. Over the years, there have been other members who experienced a white residue that wiped off as opposed to the more permanent white chalky look some of us have. For those members, the residue stopped once their chemicals were balanced.

Once you get everything operational again with chemicals balanced, it will be interesting to see if it stops.
