Which variable speed pump to get

I'm trying to decide which variable speed pump to get without getting soaked. I've looked at the Pentair Superflo VS, Intelliflo VS, Intellipro VSF, and Jacuzzi VSP150. The Jacuzzi VSP150 and the Pentair Superflo VS are the cheapest by hundreds of dollars from my local Leslie's. I have no automation and no plans on it. My question is, will either the Jacuzzi or the Superflo be adequate for my application or will they be underpowered? I want to get the right one but don't want to spend $1500 either.

I can't provide any guidance on which pump will suit your needs, but you should first check your utility company for rebate programs. You will likely find a list of eligible pumps which may narrow down your choices. Some programs require the pump to be professionally installed which may offset some of your savings if you had planned to install yourself. Some programs only allow use of the pump during night time hours. Pentair only offers a 60-day warranty if not professionally installed. There have been several similar threads lately so try the search function. I'm sure others will be stopping by to provide some guidance.
