So I do not trust my pool store after the floccing incident.

I am currently using bags of Clorox to shock my pool but I have heard that liquid chlorine is better. Pool store says they sell cases of 4 for $21.99 but do I need to be looking for a specific concentration?

Typically you look for the concentration (~6% is bleach, pool stores will usually have 10-12% liquid chlorine) and the date it was produced since bleach/liquid chlorine can lose its potency quickly. That price is not bad, but you can usually get it cheaper at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, hardware stores, etc.
